FITNESS & HEALTH

Clients are advised not to undertake Yoga without first seeking medical advice if they have concerns over their physical condition. We reserve the right to refuse access to any client if, in our absolute discretion, we consider the health of the individual concerned may be endangered by the use of such facilities.

It is the client’s responsibility to inform the teacher of each class they attend if they have any injuries or health conditions (including pregnancy, suspected pregnancy or childbirth within the preceding three months).

LIABILITY LIMITATION

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure he/she is capable of undergoing the routine of exercises or postures provided by any programme which he/she follows or class which he/she attends. Clients accept the risk of injury and are advised to consult their doctor prior to beginning any session.

We accept no liability for loss or damage to property of clients or for injury to clients on the premises except insofar as such loss, damage or injury is by law incapable of exclusion.

Clients agree that neither they nor their heirs, assigns or legal representatives will sue or make any other claim of any kind against Luna Wilds or any of its teachers in respect of any loss or damage which they may suffer or incur at Luna Wilds or as a result of attending a class, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, save only to the extent that liability in respect of such loss or damage may not be excluded or limited by law.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Personal belongings are brought onto the premises at the client’s own risk and we do not accept liability for any loss or damage whatsoever to such items.

SAUNA AND ‘COLD DIP’ POLICY

Individuals with cardiovascular conditions or problems (hypertension/hypotension), congestive heart failure, impaired coronary circulation or those who are taking medications which might affect blood pressure should exercise extreme caution when exposed to prolonged heat. Heat stress increases cardiac output and blood flow in an effort to transfer internal body heat to the outside environment via the skin (perspiration) and respiratory systems. If using a pacemaker or defibrillator, please discuss risks involved with your physician

Individuals who are using prescription drugs should seek the advice of their personal physician or a pharmacist for possible changes in the drug’s effect when the body is exposed to elevated temperatures. Some medications including diuretics, barbiturates, and beta-blockers and others may impair the body’s natural heat loss mechanisms. Some over the counter drugs such as antihistamines may also cause the body to be more prone to heat stroke.

Pregnant women should consult a physician before using the sauna because foetal damage can occur with a certain elevated body temperature.

If you have had a heart attack in the last 6 months please seek medical advice prior to using the sauna or ‘cold dip’

If you have severe arterial disease please seek medical advice prior to using the sauna or ‘cold dip’

An individual that has insensitivity to heat or cold should seek medical advice before entering the sauna or ‘cold dip’

Sauna and 'Cold Dip' are understood to be used at the client's own risk.
